Role Summary
Infosys is looking for an AI Engineer (Gen AI, Databricks) in Bengaluru with 2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Generative AI. The role focuses on building scalable Databricks data pipelines, developing Generative AI solutions using LLMs, implementing RAG architectures, and integrating AI solutions with cloud services and enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks for structured and unstructured data.
- ETL/ELT: Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and work with large-scale datasets using Spark and PySpark.
- Generative AI: Develop and deploy Generative AI solutions using LLMs including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Llama, and Claude.
- RAG Solutions: Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures and integrate vector databases.
- Cloud & Integration: Integrate AI solutions with cloud services and enterprise applications.
- Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data and AI workloads.
- Data Governance: Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards across data and AI workloads.
- Collaboration: Work with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI and data solutions.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Generative AI.
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering or BTech.
- Data Engineering: Strong experience with Databricks, PySpark / Apache Spark, Python, SQL, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, Delta Lake, and data warehousing concepts.
- Generative AI: Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and vector databases.
- Development: Experience with Git and scalable data and AI workload development.
- Preferred: Experience with Azure Databricks or AWS Databricks, LangChain / LangGraph, Azure OpenAI, MLflow, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, DBT, and MLOps concepts.
- Additional Skills: Knowledge of prompt engineering, Agentic AI, semantic search, REST APIs, Docker, and CI/CD exposure is an advantage.
