Role Summary
IBM India Private Limited is hiring a Data Engineer – Data Platforms (Snowflake) for its IBM Consulting FutureNow Center in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this core data engineering role, you will build, optimize, and scale Snowflake platforms to power enterprise Data and AI use cases. You will apply cloud computing principles, data warehousing strategies, and data pipeline design to deliver scalable, high-performing analytical solutions for global clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Snowflake Platform Engineering: Design, build, and enhance enterprise Snowflake platform architectures to support complex Data and AI workloads.
- Data & AI Use Case Implementation: Implement scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines to drive AI and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Cloud & Data Integration: Integrate cloud computing concepts with Snowflake platforms, ensuring seamless performance, high data availability, and cost efficiency.
- Technical Solution Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional consulting teams and client stakeholders to deliver tailored data solutions aligned with enterprise business needs.
- Platform Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize query performance, data modeling, and platform resource management across Snowflake environments.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of hands-on professional experience in data engineering and data platform implementation.
- Snowflake Mastery: Proven track record of building and managing production-grade Snowflake platforms, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
- Cloud & Engineering Fundamentals: Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT workflows, and cloud computing principles (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Nice to Have: Experience within consulting environments, IBM Cloud/Red Hat ecosystems, or specialized AI/ML pipeline integration.
