Role Summary
IBM India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Application Developer: Google Cloud FullStack to join the IBM Consulting team at our FutureNow Center in Gurgaon, Haryana. In this full-time hybrid role, you will design, engineer, and deploy enterprise-grade, cloud-native full stack solutions. You will build modular microservices following 12-factor principles using Spring Boot, craft responsive frontends using ReactJS or Angular, architect event-driven streaming solutions with Apache Kafka, and deploy workloads across hybrid cloud environments including Google Cloud and IBM Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Frontend Engineering: Design and build responsive, performant user interfaces based on Single Page Applications (SPA) and microfrontends utilizing modern frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular.
- Microservices Development: Architect and develop scalable, resilient backend microservices based on 12-factor application design and domain-driven design (bounded context), exposing capabilities via REST APIs and event interfaces using Spring Boot.
- Data Modeling & Storage: Design relational and NoSQL data structures, implementing data persistence and access layers using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DB2.
- Event-Driven Architectures: Develop and integrate asynchronous, event-driven streaming workflows and pub/sub pipelines using Apache Kafka and Zookeeper.
- Cloud Services & DevOps: Implement automated cloud-native CI/CD release pipelines and manage PaaS, observability, storage, DevSecOps, and networking configurations across hyperscaler environments (Google Cloud / IBM Cloud).
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 7 to 9 years of hands-on experience in full stack software engineering and cloud-native application delivery.
- Core Technical Skills: Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS or Angular, Apache Kafka, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Key Methodologies: 12-Factor App Architecture, Microservices & Microfrontends, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture, and Agile CI/CD.
- Preferred Capabilities: Familiarity with IBM Cloud PaaS services, Test-Driven Development (TDD), container orchestration, and Red Hat technologies.
