Role Summary
IBM Consulting is looking for an experienced Application Developer - Cloud FullStack to join our FutureNow Delivery Center in Bengaluru in a hybrid working arrangement. In this role, you will design, engineer, and deploy enterprise-scale cloud applications adopting microservices patterns. You will operate across every tier of modern web architectures—building performant Java/Spring backend services, responsive front-end interfaces using React or Angular, and secure API gateways using Apigee or IBM API Connect, backed by automated DevOps deployment workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack Engineering: Design, develop, and deliver resilient cloud-based applications utilizing microservices architectures across front-end, middleware, and back-end layers.
- Backend & Microservices Development: Architect and implement robust RESTful web services in Java, JEE, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, managing persistence across relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL data stores.
- Front-End Web Development: Build responsive, modular, and dynamic user interfaces leveraging modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular), HTML5, and CSS3.
- API Management & Integration: Secure and orchestrate cross-platform application interfaces using modern API gateway technologies, including Apigee and IBM API Connect.
- DevOps & Cloud Environment Maintenance: Apply CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and configuration automation to ensure high system uptime, environment stability, and robust network security.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of solid hands-on experience in full stack software engineering and cloud application delivery.
- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring, Hibernate), modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular), REST/SOA architecture, and relational/NoSQL databases.
- Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with API management solutions (Apigee / API Connect), Groovy scripting, Docker/Kubernetes container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure security.
- Professional Competencies: Strong problem-solving aptitude, agile collaboration skills, and effective verbal and written communication within cross-functional teams.
