Role Summary
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Automation Solution Developer to design and deliver automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance business performance. The role focuses on VBA, Python, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, SAP, system integrations, data processing, and enterprise-wide process automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using VBA, Python, and Microsoft Power Automate.
- Workflow Automation: Build and enhance workflows that improve process efficiency, consistency, and user experience.
- Enterprise Integration: Automate business processes across SAP, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Outlook, and other enterprise applications.
- Reporting Solutions: Develop reporting, dashboarding, and data-processing solutions to support business decision-making.
- System Integration: Integrate applications and systems using APIs, databases, and cloud-based services.
- Data Processing: Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and automation activities to improve data quality and business insights.
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable automation solutions.
- Optimization: Troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously improve existing automation tools and solutions.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operating procedures.
- Digital Transformation: Identify opportunities to automate and optimize business processes as part of digital transformation initiatives.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing automation solutions using VBA, Python, and Microsoft Power Automate.
- Strong understanding of workflow automation, scripting, data processing, and business process optimization.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications, databases, Microsoft 365 services, and external systems.
- Knowledge of SQL, API integrations, ETL processes, and reporting technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Finance, ERP, or business process automation projects is preferred.
- Ability to use AI and digital tools to improve productivity and problem-solving while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and accountability.
