Role Summary
HCLTech is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead - Python Development to steer enterprise development and automation initiatives in Bengaluru. In this leadership role, you will take ownership of architectural decisions, provide hands-on technical guidance in Python development and test automation, conduct rigorous code and performance reviews using Flask and Pytest, and oversee SAP automation workflows. You will mentor engineering talent, drive technical risk mitigation, and align closely with stakeholders to ensure top-tier delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Direct Python development and test automation engineering teams, establishing best coding practices, design patterns, and engineering standards.
- Application Architecture & Reviews: Architect and optimize backend services and web applications using Python and Flask; execute structured code reviews and enforce strict testing practices with Pytest.
- SAP Automation & Tooling: Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and tools integrated with SAP systems to streamline testing lifecycles and increase test coverage.
- Governance & Feasibility Consulting: Participate in high-level architectural reviews, evaluate technical trade-offs, conduct feasibility studies, and manage technical risk assessments across project modules.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Delivery: Collaborate with project managers, clients, and technical stakeholders to scope deliverables, manage escalations, and report project health metrics.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 8 to 14 years of total software engineering experience, including significant hands-on technical lead experience in Python development and test automation.
- Core Stack: Expert-level Python programming, Flask web framework, Pytest automation suites, SAP automation integration, and software quality assurance methodologies.
- Nice to Have: Certified Python Developer, ISTQB Certification, containerization with Docker, and CI/CD automation pipeline experience.
- Professional Competencies: Exceptional communication, cross-functional stakeholder management, technical problem-solving, and proven team mentorship capability.
