Role Summary
HCLTech is hiring a Senior Engineer - Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Servers RDS, Touch Services for its Support & Operations team in Chennai. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Microsoft Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Remote Desktop Services (RDSH) environments. You will provide L2/L3 client support, handle service ticket resolution, ensure compliance with CMMI documentation standards, and offer technical guidance to junior support engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- VDI & RDSH Operations: Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise Microsoft VDI solutions and RDSH environments, supporting major/minor functional enhancements.
- Client Support & Ticket Resolution: Monitor service requests, resolve technical support tickets within defined SLAs, and ensure high-quality service delivery for enterprise clients.
- Process Compliance & Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system enhancements in alignment with CMMI standards and client-specific processes.
- Technical Mentorship & Video/Touch Services: Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, foster collaborative practices, and support Touch Services alongside video/telepresence infrastructure.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Windows Server administration, Microsoft VDI, and RDS operations.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Microsoft VDI solutions, Remote Desktop Services (RDSH), Windows Server OS, Touch Services, and video/telepresence tools.
- Valuable Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
- Core Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, structured CMMI documentation ability, and clear client communication.
