Role Summary
HCLTech is hiring an experienced SAP Basis Senior Consultant specializing in S/4HANA Upgrades and Migrations to join our enterprise SAP delivery practice in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. In this technical leadership role, you will plan, architect, and execute complex SAP S/4HANA system conversions and migrations. You will ensure minimal downtime and maximum landscape performance, configure SAP Solution Manager for deep monitoring, diagnose critical technical bottlenecks, and manage post-migration stability across mission-critical enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- S/4HANA Upgrades & Migration: Architect, plan, and execute end-to-end SAP system upgrades and migrations to S/4HANA utilizing standard SAP migration tools and methodologies.
- System Performance & Tuning: Conduct continuous SAP system health checks, analyze memory/work process utilization, optimize SAP HANA database performance, and tune execution parameters.
- Landscape Administration: Manage heterogeneous SAP landscapes, apply support packages, execute kernel upgrades, and administer SAP Solution Manager for proactive monitoring and diagnostics.
- Technical Issue Remediation: Partner with functional, ABAP, and infrastructure teams to isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues during transition and hypercare phases.
- Documentation & Governance: Author and maintain comprehensive technical cutover runbooks, migration architecture blueprints, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and change management records.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 6 to 12 years of core SAP Basis administration experience, with proven success in leading S/4HANA upgrade and migration projects.
- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in SAP Basis administration, SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA conversions, SAP HANA database administration, and SAP Solution Manager.
- Certification: SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (SAP HANA with SAP NetWeaver) is strongly preferred.
- Professional Competencies: Excellent cross-functional stakeholder communication, structured project execution in deadline-driven migration cutovers, and rigorous problem-solving skills.
