Role Summary
Grid Dynamics is hiring a Lead AI Engineer to drive the architectural design and deployment of enterprise-grade Generative and Agentic AI solutions across its Hyderabad and Bangalore centers. Combining technical leadership with hands-on development, you will bridge product strategy and engineering execution, mentor AI developers, establish engineering best practices, and deliver scalable AI systems from proof-of-concept (POC) to production cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Architecture: Architect and lead the end-to-end development of enterprise AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions from concept to production.
- Team Mentorship & Standards: Establish technical direction, enforce engineering best practices, and mentor software and ML engineers in an Agile environment.
- Agentic AI & RAG Engineering: Design and implement autonomous agentic workflows, advanced RAG architectures, document processing pipelines, vector/hybrid search systems, and LLM guardrails.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the technical bridge between product leaders, business executives, and engineering teams, translating complex AI capabilities into actionable business solutions.
- Production MLOps & Monitoring: Implement continuous evaluation, observability, monitoring, and fine-tuning strategies for production-deployed LLMs.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of professional experience developing production-grade AI/ML systems, including 2+ years in technical leadership/team lead roles.
- Agentic AI Expertise: 1+ year of hands-on experience delivering production-ready Agentic AI systems and LLM applications.
- Programming Depth: Expert-level proficiency in Python and its ecosystem for AI/ML, data processing, and backend service integration.
- LLM & Cloud Mastery: Deep knowledge of open/closed-source LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, vector search, and major cloud ML platforms (GCP Vertex AI, AWS, or Azure).
- Nice-to-Have Skills: Hands-on experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face, computer vision/NLP deep learning models, full-stack backend development, or CI/CD pipelines.
