Role Summary
Genpact is hiring a Sr. Analyst - BI, Reporting and Data Visualization (Lead Consultant - Power BI Developer) for its Hyderabad office. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will integrate diverse data sources, execute ETL transformations using Power Query, build optimized data models (star/snowflake schemas), write complex DAX formulas, and publish interactive dashboards that drive enterprise decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Integration & ETL: Connect, import, and transform data from diverse sources (SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Excel, web services) using Power Query (M language) and maintain robust ETL pipelines.
- Data Modeling & DAX: Design optimized star and snowflake data models and write complex DAX formulas to create advanced calculated measures and tables.
- Reporting & Security: Develop, optimize, and publish interactive data visualizations and dashboards while implementing row-level security (RLS) for data governance.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor data refreshes, resolve gateway issues, and optimize report scalability and performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical BI solutions and provide end-user training.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Data Modeling, DAX, Power Query, Data Visualization, and ETL processes.
- Preferred Credentials & Tools: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate; exposure to Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake), programming in Python/R, and other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView).
- Domain Knowledge: Previous reporting experience in Finance, Healthcare, or Retail domains is highly desirable.
