Role Summary
Genesys is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to build, support, and operate enterprise AI platforms and automation for internal users. The role combines Python application development, AI integrations, access governance, monitoring, security, compliance, and platform operations, with a focus on making enterprise AI tools reliable, secure, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Platform Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate Python-based services and automation supporting AI governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Governance Automation: Build tooling for AI application inventory, onboarding, risk classification, access reviews, policy compliance, control testing, exception management, approval workflows, and audit evidence collection.
- AI Security: Develop automated checks for sensitive-data exposure, inappropriate access, policy violations, secrets leakage, unsafe tool use, and other AI-specific risks.
- AI Applications: Build internal AI applications and workflows using enterprise model APIs and SDKs, structured outputs, function or tool calling, configuration versioning, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Testing & Reliability: Implement model and workflow evaluations, regression testing, guardrails, fallback behavior, rate limits, timeout handling, and cost controls.
- Platform Operations: Monitor enterprise AI tools, execute routine configuration changes and API updates, maintain alerts, and follow documented operational runbooks.
- Access Management: Perform provisioning, de-provisioning, role assignments, access reviews, and compliance evidence collection for enterprise AI platforms.
- Integration & Reporting: Build integrations with internal workflows, track platform usage and adoption, and maintain dashboards for platform health, cost, security, access posture, and compliance.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, IT operations, or DevOps, with exposure to SaaS or AI tooling administration.
- Python: Strong proficiency in Python for production applications and automation, including REST services, data processing, package management, automated testing, logging, exception handling, and secure configuration.
- API Development: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, event-based workflows, authentication, authorization, rate limits, retries, schema validation, and API version management.
- AI Engineering: Experience building AI-enabled applications or workflows using enterprise model APIs or SDKs, with understanding of structured outputs, tool calling, evaluations, guardrails, and AI observability.
- Data & CI/CD: Proficiency in SQL and experience with data models, pipelines, queries, dashboards, Git, pull requests, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- IAM & Monitoring: Working knowledge of identity and access management concepts and familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred Skills: Exposure to enterprise AI platforms, SSO/SCIM, Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, AI security risks, AI governance frameworks, LLM evaluation, AI red teaming, or model and agent observability.
