Role Summary

GE HealthCare is hiring a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) to join its Healthcare Imaging & Manufacturing operations in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Positioned within the Patient Care Solution modality, this entry-level role focuses on end-to-end material planning, MRP-based purchase order execution, inventory safety stock management, supplier coordination, and inbound logistics. It provides an ideal starting point for engineering graduates eager to build a career in medical device supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material & MRP Planning: Support end-to-end material planning based on production schedules, utilizing MRP tools and Kinaxis software to guarantee timely material availability.
  • Purchase Order & Supplier Management: Release purchase orders (POs) to domestic and international suppliers, track order acknowledgements, confirm shipping dates, and manage material pull-ins/push-outs.
  • Inventory & Safety Stock Control: Monitor inventory levels to maintain targeted safety stock buffers, preventing supply chain bottlenecks and supporting uninterrupted manufacturing lines.
  • Inbound Logistics & Customs: Coordinate with logistics partners and customs clearance teams for imported materials, facilitating smooth goods receipt (GRN) and internal shop-floor movement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sourcing, quality control, production, and warehouse teams to proactively mitigate material shortages and resolve supply chain risks.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred (Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering disciplines also considered).
  • Experience: Fresh graduate (0-1 year experience) seeking an entry-level trainee role in manufacturing or supply chain management.
  • Core Competencies: Basic understanding of MRP, inventory control, purchase order workflows, supply chain concepts, and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Nice to Have: Hands-on exposure or academic training in Kinaxis, SAP, or enterprise ERP systems.
