Role Summary
Fujitsu is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of production-grade AI solutions within its R&D MVP team. The role combines AI/ML engineering, full-stack software development, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, and system design to transform research prototypes into scalable and secure software products.
Key Responsibilities
- AI/ML Development: Translate research prototypes into robust MVPs and production-ready AI/ML applications.
- AI Pipelines: Architect and implement AI/ML pipelines covering computer vision, LLMs, intelligent agents, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Full-Stack Engineering: Lead frontend development using React/TypeScript and backend development using Python/C++.
- System Design: Design scalable microservices and RESTful APIs for AI model integration.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- DevOps: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Performance: Optimize cloud resources, application performance, reliability, and operational costs.
- Security: Design secure systems using authentication, encryption, data protection, and security standards such as OWASP Top 10.
- Reliability: Implement monitoring, logging, and fault-tolerant strategies for production systems.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience with production AI/ML or LLM application deployment experience.
- Programming: Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and JavaScript/React.
- Machine Learning: Experience with PyTorch, scikit-learn, and vLLM.
- LLM Engineering: Experience integrating LLMs using Hugging Face, open-source models, and APIs.
- AI Technologies: Experience with computer vision, RAG, AI agents, and prompt engineering.
- Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- DevOps: Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Software Architecture: Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, scalable architectures, security, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
