Role Summary
Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain end-to-end web applications using the Microsoft technology stack. The role involves full-stack development, application architecture, testing, performance optimization, code reviews, and solving complex technical problems within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Web Application Development: Design and develop end-to-end web applications using .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
- Frontend Development: Build web interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Database Development: Work with Cosmos DB and Microsoft SQL Server to develop efficient queries and data solutions.
- Architecture: Design and work with n-tier architectures and service-oriented architecture solutions.
- Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, resolve review comments, and follow programming best practices.
- Testing: Develop and maintain unit and UI tests using applicable testing frameworks.
- Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot performance issues, develop efficient code and queries, and use SQL profiling tools when required.
- Technical Problem Solving: Analyze technical challenges and provide appropriate recommendations and solutions.
- Security: Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms within applications.
- Agile Development: Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver software solutions.
Key Qualifications
- 1–4 years of experience developing end-to-end web applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Strong experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
- Strong working knowledge of Angular 2+, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with Cosmos DB and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
- Experience working with n-tier architecture and at least one service-oriented architecture project.
- Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks such as MSTest, Jasmine, Moq, NUnit, or Karma.
- Experience with TFS and code review processes.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization; OAuth2 and OpenID Connect experience is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
