Role Overview
EPAM Systems is hiring an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer specializing in Java and ReactJS across its delivery centers in Bengaluru and Pune, India. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable enterprise applications. Working across both client-facing frontends and backend services, you will leverage modern Java, Spring Boot, React, and relational database technologies within enterprise event-driven architectures to deliver digital platform solutions for global clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Full Stack Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions combining Java and Spring Boot backends with responsive ReactJS frontends.
- UI & API Integration: Implement responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern React concepts, integrating seamless communication via RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Database Design & Persistence: Architect, optimize, and manage database operations using Oracle Database, writing efficient SQL, PL/SQL routines, and handling transaction management.
- Performance & Scalability: Profile application memory, tune multi-threaded backend processes, and optimize frontend rendering to ensure high responsiveness and minimal latency.
- Security & Best Practices: Apply strict application security protocols, safeguard sensitive data, conduct thorough code reviews, and maintain clean engineering standards.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, architectural planning, and knowledge-sharing initiatives alongside cross-functional, global development teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Experience: 4 to 5 years of professional hands-on software development experience building full stack web applications.
- Backend Core: Strong command of Java fundamentals, including multi-threaded programming, concurrency, memory management, and runtime profiling.
- Spring Ecosystem: Practical experience developing enterprise microservices and applications using the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Frontend Proficiency: Solid working experience with React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and web standards (HTML5/CSS3).
- Databases & Web Services: Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, transaction handling, and REST/SOAP web service protocols.
- Tools & Infrastructure: Proficiency with build and versioning tools including Git, GitLab, Maven, Gradle, IntelliJ IDEA, and Jira; familiarity with event-driven enterprise architectures.
