Role Summary
EPAM Systems is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer - Data DevOps/MLOps in Coimbatore and Chennai. In this role, you will build, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure and continuous delivery pipelines for data integration and machine learning model operations. Working closely with data scientists and software engineers, you will automate data validation, model deployment, workflow orchestration, and lineage tracking across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD & Pipeline Engineering: Design and manage continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated data transformation and production ML model serving using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for big data processing and model training using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and manage microservices, model serving endpoints, and distributed computing nodes using Docker and Kubernetes.
- MLOps & Model Lifecycle: Implement experiment tracking, model registry, data versioning, and reproducibility using MLOps platforms such as MLflow or Kubeflow.
- Monitoring & Governance: Set up end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana to optimize model performance, detect drift, and ensure data security/compliance.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 or more years of dedicated experience in Data DevOps, MLOps, or Data Systems Engineering.
- Cloud & IaC Mastery: Hands-on proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Container & Orchestration: Strong operational expertise with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Programming & Big Data: Proficient in Python (Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch) with experience using data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Databricks.
- Nice to Have: Exposure to DataOps tools (Airflow, dbt), data governance platforms (Collibra), Hadoop/Hive, or cloud/data engineering certifications.
