Role Summary
EPAM Systems is hiring a Senior Data Software Engineer in Hyderabad. In this role, you will design and implement end-to-end scalable data architectures and optimized data systems to solve complex business demands. You will leverage expertise across Apache Spark, Python, Hadoop ecosystems, and cloud data services across AWS and Azure to build high-performance distributed data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Solution Architecture: Design, build, and deploy robust end-to-end enterprise data solutions addressing complex analytical and business demands.
- Scalable Engineering: Develop scalable and optimized distributed data processing pipelines using Apache Spark, Python, AWS, and Azure Cloud data platforms.
- System Optimization: Continuously improve the processing performance, execution speed, security, and scalability of big data applications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with international technical teams, business stakeholders, and system architects to translate project requirements into production-ready data assets.
- Innovation & Growth: Monitor emerging big data, cloud, and AI engineering trends to promote continuous improvement and modern data practices across the organization.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of dedicated professional experience in big data software engineering and cloud technologies.
- Big Data Mastery: Advanced, hands-on development proficiency in Apache Spark alongside a strong working background in Hadoop and Hive ecosystems.
- Programming Depth: Strong coding proficiency in Python for data processing, transformation, and automation.
- Multi-Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience developing within AWS and Azure cloud data services.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities, adaptability, and effective communication skills within global distributed teams.
