Role Summary
DataArt is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with Playwright experience to drive quality assurance and test automation for a high-scale web platform belonging to one of the world's largest investment funds. In this role, you will design, maintain, and scale automated end-to-end UI and API test suites, integrate test automation into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, and leverage AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate test script generation and failure triage.
Key Responsibilities
- Automated Test Engineering: Architect, write, and maintain scalable UI and API automated tests using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript across cross-browser environments.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD build pipelines (GitHub Actions) to ensure continuous feedback on application stability.
- Defect Management & Analysis: Perform root-cause analysis on failures, log detailed defect reports, and maintain regression test plans across product streams.
- AI-Accelerated QA: Utilize AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to optimize test creation, spot coverage gaps, analyze test logs, and streamline debugging.
- Collaborative Agile Delivery: Work closely within a small, cross-functional agile team of QA specialists, developers, and product owners to balance automated and manual testing strategies.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Senior-level experience in Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on web application automation and API testing.
- Core Technical Stack: Mastery of Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST API automation, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- Quality Engineering Practices: Strong understanding of test management, regression planning, defect life cycle, and strategic manual/exploratory testing.
- Nice to Have: Demonstrated experience using AI agents and generative AI tools to generate test scripts, perform code reviews, or automate quality workflows.
