Role Summary
DataArt is hiring a Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer with Playwright & AI for its office-based team in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this role, you will own the end-to-end quality lifecycle for a global professional education and certification client operating across SaaS, ERP, CRM, LMS, and AWS/Azure ecosystems. You will work in an automation-first, AI-native environment—utilizing TypeScript, Playwright, and AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to author UI/API automated test suites and maintain continuous release health within agile sprint cadences.
Key Responsibilities
- Sprint Automation & Design: Build and maintain automated UI and API test coverage in Playwright and TypeScript within active sprints using AI-assisted workflows.
- Requirements Analysis & Test Authoring: Analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs with AI tooling to design test scenarios and identify coverage gaps prior to development.
- Defect Management & Reporting: Track defects through resolution, review Allure test reports, synchronize TestRail test cases, and contribute to release readiness sign-offs.
- Framework & Code Quality: Participate in peer code reviews for automation pull requests, contribute reusable components to the central Playwright framework, and monitor CI/CD pipeline health.
- Exploratory & Functional Testing: Execute hands-on exploratory testing alongside automation to capture edge cases across cloud-hosted, cross-browser environments.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Hands-on experience across the full testing lifecycle with demonstrated expertise in automated testing platforms.
- Core Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in TypeScript, Playwright (UI & API), Git, CI/CD integration, and test management platforms (TestRail, Allure).
- AI Workflows: Practical experience using AI-assisted tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI code agents) to accelerate test design, script creation, and maintenance.
- Nice to Have: Exposure to LambdaTest, AWS Secrets Manager, Postman, enterprise SaaS platforms (LMS/CRM/ERP), or accessibility/performance testing concepts.
