Role Summary
Cyient is hiring an experienced SCM Engineer (Buyer/Planner) in Pune. In this role, you will manage procurement, inventory control, order planning, and supply chain operations using SAP MM and Advanced Excel analytical reporting. You will resolve EDI queries, interface with international suppliers, manage documentation, and leverage Power BI to present operational insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Planning: Execute daily order planning, material management, and buyer/planner functions within the SAP MM module to optimize supply chain flows.
- SAP MM Operations: Manage procurement and inventory workflows, system processes, master data, and documentation (GRN, Invoicing, BOM, BOL).
- EDI & Supplier Management: Handle EDI query resolutions, maintain proactive communication with suppliers, and resolve operational supply chain bottlenecks.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly analytical reports using Advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts) and build interactive dashboards in Power BI.
- Project Management: Independently manage supply chain tasks, track milestones, and present clear operational insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical/supply chain degree).
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically in a Buyer or Planner role.
- ERP Expertise: Deep functional proficiency in the SAP MM (Materials Management) module.
- Analytical Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Modeling) and exposure to Power BI data visualization.
- Soft Skills: Strong independent project execution, problem-solving skills, and excellent stakeholder communication.
