Role Summary
CrowdStrike is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer - Cloud for its flagship Falcon Fusion SOAR team in Pune, Maharashtra. In this high-scale backend engineering role, you will design, build, and maintain high-throughput microservices and SOAR connectors that integrate third-party security platforms (SIEM, EDR, IAM, Ticketing) with CrowdStrike’s AI-native Falcon Platform, processing billions of daily automated events at global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Distributed Backend Systems: Design and build production-grade, highly available SOAR connectors and core platform microservices using Python or Go.
- Security Integrations & Auth: Implement complex authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, API Keys) to connect enterprise cybersecurity solutions with Falcon Fusion.
- Architectural Ownership: Drive end-to-end platform design choices, balancing developer experience with multi-region performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- CI/CD & Operational Excellence: Maintain automated testing frameworks, deployment pipelines, and runbooks to manage production incidents across global Falcon environments.
- Engineering Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers on distributed systems design, API security, and SaaS production best practices.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining SaaS products and large-scale distributed systems.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Advanced Python or Go (Golang), microservices architecture, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed system debugging.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Commercial cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cybersecurity domain knowledge (SIEM/SOAR/EDR), CI/CD, and open-source contributions.
- Work Setup: Full-time position based in Pune, Maharashtra.
