Role Summary
Comcast is hiring an Analyst 2, Business Operations & Analytics to join the IS Solutions Strategic Planning & Metrics team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In this role, you will analyze operational performance metrics supporting Xfinity Mobile billing operations, leveraging complex SQL, Amdocs data systems, and interactive Tableau dashboards. You will partner with global stakeholders to cleanse and validate data, uncover operational trends, audit billing integrity, and deliver actionable analytics that drive operational efficiency across Comcast Cable lines of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Transformation & SQL Solutions: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, cleanse, validate, and transform large-scale operational data from Amdocs tables and XM tools.
- Dashboarding & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and analytical assets to communicate operational metrics and performance trends to leadership.
- Billing Operations Analytics: Analyze Xfinity Mobile billing workflows, identify discrepancies, conduct regular audits, and produce actionable reporting to eliminate billing errors.
- Process Improvement & Optimization: Apply analytical thinking to evaluate operational initiatives, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend process improvement strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business problems into clear data requirements and present simplified, decision-ready insights.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in business operations analytics, reporting, or data analysis within enterprise settings.
- Technical Stack: Advanced SQL capabilities for data handling and intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Tableau for data visualization.
- Domain Expertise: Hands-on familiarity with telecom/subscription billing systems, Amdocs data schemas, or revenue assurance workflows is strongly preferred.
- Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving aptitude, meticulous attention to data accuracy, and the ability to articulate complex quantitative findings clearly to business stakeholders.
