Role Summary
Coforge Digital is hiring an experienced SQL Developer for its Hyderabad center. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize high-performance SQL and PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and database objects. You will apply advanced performance tuning and indexing strategies, support ETL/ELT data integration pipelines, and contribute to cloud migration and modernization initiatives in an Agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Engineering & Development: Design, build, and maintain high-performance SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, and database objects.
- Performance Tuning: Apply advanced performance optimization techniques using execution plans, indexing strategies, statistics, and table partitioning.
- ETL & Data Integration: Support automated ETL/ELT workflows, batch processing techniques, and data transformation practices across database platforms.
- Cloud Migration & Modernization: Assist in re-platforming and refactoring legacy database objects for cloud-native database environments like Snowflake.
- Defect Resolution & Team Collaboration: Analyze and resolve testing bugs, coordinate changes with architects and technical leads, and provide technical guidance within Agile teams.
Key Qualifications
- Education: BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of prior work experience in application and database development with deep expertise in Oracle PL/SQL or SQL Server T-SQL.
- Core Technical Stack: Strong mastery of SQL Server, PL/SQL, T-SQL, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and ETL data pipelines.
- Desirable Exposure: Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python scripting, dbt, Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSPs, Spring, or Angular.
