Software Engineer (Cisco Wireless)

Role Summary

Cisco is hiring a Software Engineer for its Cisco Wireless engineering group in Bengaluru. In this role, you will define, develop, validate, and automate software features for cloud-managed and on-premise network-attached devices, including wireless controllers and Access Points. You will leverage real-time telemetry data and AI tools to build features that manage global enterprise wireless networks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development & Automation: Design, implement, and automate software features for on-premise and cloud-managed wireless controllers and Access Points.
• Customer-Centric Implementation: Translate customer requirements into efficient technical implementations for managing wireless network infrastructures.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, Technical Marketing Engineers (TMEs), and cross-functional teams throughout feature execution.
• Telemetry & Optimization: Leverage real-time telemetry data from thousands of deployed networks to continuously optimize product performance and stability.

Key Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, networking fundamentals, and hands-on usage of AI tools in software engineering workflows.
• Core Competencies: Quick learner, effective team player, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
