Role Summary
Chubb Business Services India is seeking an experienced Microsoft SSIS/SQL ETL Developer to join our Finance Technology team supporting the Foresight financial forecasting platform in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this full-time role, you will design, develop, optimize, and maintain enterprise MS SQL Server databases, SSIS packages, and Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes that drive mission-critical forecasting and reporting for the Finance department. You will also participate in testing, provide production support, and collaborate within a modern AI-assisted SDLC and DevOps framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Database & Query Engineering: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize complex MS SQL Server stored procedures, user-defined functions, SQL jobs, and analytical queries supporting financial forecasting platforms.
- ETL & Data Integration: Build, enhance, and troubleshoot robust SSIS packages and Analysis Services cubes to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading across enterprise systems.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze execution plans, perform index and query optimizations, and fine-tune ETL pipelines to maintain high performance and reliability.
- Testing & Production Support: Execute comprehensive system testing, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business and finance stakeholders, and deliver L2/L3 production troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Modern Tooling & Governance: Work within an AI-assisted SDLC environment (utilizing tools such as Claude), manage source code versions via GitHub, and handle incident workflows through ServiceNow.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience as a SQL/ETL developer delivering enterprise database solutions.
- Core Technical Skills: Advanced MS SQL Server (T-SQL, complex stored procedures, triggers, index tuning), SSIS package development, SSAS multidimensional/tabular cubes, and GitHub version control.
- Key Methodologies: ETL/ELT Pipeline Design, Performance Optimization, Root Cause Analysis, UAT Support, and Secure SDLC Practices.
- Preferred Capabilities: Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Microsoft Azure), web technologies (Node.js, Express, React), and experience working in an AI-assisted development workflow.
