Role Summary
CGI is hiring a Senior / Expert IT Function Business Analyst with strong test automation and functional domain expertise in Chennai. In this role, you will perform technical solutioning, business requirement analysis, and end-to-end quality engineering across banking and capital markets systems. You will design hybrid automation test strategies, conduct functional regression testing, execute REST API automation, and run performance loads across web applications in Linux and Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Analysis & Solutioning: Analyze global functional enhancements within Banking, Custody, and Corporate Actions domains, translating business requirements into clear test specifications.
- Test Automation Strategy: Design, develop, and maintain hybrid test automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, UFT, and REST API testing stacks (Postman / REST Assured).
- Performance & Load Testing: Design performance test scenarios, establish load profiles, and execute performance scripts using JMeter or equivalent tools.
- CI/CD & Batch Execution: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub) and execute batch scripts across Windows and Linux environments.
- Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, log, isolate, and track defects to closure using ALM tools like Micro Focus Octane and JIRA while supporting manual testing when required.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Functional and Automated Software Testing.
- Automation Stack Depth: 5+ years of strong fundamentals in Selenium WebDriver, 2+ years in Playwright, and 3+ years automating web applications.
- API & Performance Testing: 1+ year of hands-on REST API automation (Postman/REST Assured) and 1+ year in performance testing using JMeter.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid functional background in Banking, Custody, Corporate Actions, or Tax (DTT processes) is strongly preferred.
