Azure Data Engineer - Lead Analyst

Role Summary

CGI is hiring an Azure Data Engineer (Lead Analyst) for its Analytics and Emerging Digital Technologies team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this hybrid role, you will design, build, and scale enterprise data platforms, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and data products on Azure and Databricks. You will integrate multi-source enterprise data, enforce data governance, monitoring, and security controls, and collaborate with AI/ML engineers and business stakeholders to enable high-quality analytics and AI use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline & ETL Development: Design and build scalable data pipelines and integration solutions using Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL.
• Data Platform & Governance: Architect data products, implement data quality monitoring, and enforce data governance and security controls across cloud architectures.
• DevOps & Lifecycle Integration: Manage CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows via GitHub, and adhere to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product owners, data analysts, and AI/ML teams to deliver governed, production-grade data pipelines for enterprise reporting.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 7 to 9 years of dedicated experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Architectures.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Python, SQL, GitHub, and CI/CD.
• Preferred Exposure: Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks Certifications, and exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI platforms.
