Role Summary
CGI is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - AI Full Stack Developer (Java) for its Software Engineering division across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. In this hybrid role (3 days office / 2 days WFH, 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM IST shift), you will design and deploy cloud-native Java/SpringBoot microservices integrated with Large Language Models (LLMs), Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, RAG pipelines, and Agentic AI workflows to automate enterprise data processes and regulatory reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack & AI Development: Architect, code, and deploy cloud-based microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React/Vue.js) alongside LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude).
- Agentic AI & MCP Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) server architectures, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI automation solutions.
- Data Processing & Cloud Engineering: Integrate big data processing systems (Spark, Scala, Python) with cloud environments (Azure, OpenShift) and enterprise databases (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Governance & Technical Leadership: Enforce responsible AI governance, test-driven development (TDD), code reviews, and mentor junior engineers on sustainable design practices.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of full-stack Java software engineering experience with dedicated AI and cloud integration background.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Java, Spring Boot, LLM Frameworks (OpenAI, Claude), RAG, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Agentic AI, and microservices architecture.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Red Hat OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, React/Angular/Vue.js, Python, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL.
