Role Summary
Caterpillar Inc. is hiring an IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure (Tidal Support Analyst) for its Whitefield PSN office in Bengaluru. In this role, you will provide operational administration, architecture management, and technical support for the Tidal Enterprise Scheduler. You will manage complex job streams and dependencies supporting critical enterprise applications running on SAP, .NET, J2EE, Linux, Unix, and Windows environments, while maintaining strict security and SOx compliance controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Job Scheduling & Optimization: Utilize Tidal Enterprise Scheduler to construct, monitor, and optimize complex batch job streams, calendars, and schedule dependencies across enterprise systems.
- Infrastructure & Platform Maintenance: Install, upgrade, and maintain base Tidal product software (targeting an n-1 release methodology) across distributed servers, storage, Oracle DB, and SQL Server databases.
- Operational Support & Maintenance: Manage emergency outage windows, execute preventative job stream maintenance, participate in off-shift on-call rotations, and resolve escalated operational incidents.
- Governance & Documentation: Align system changes with IT, Security, and SOx compliance guidelines; establish operational support models and author standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, application support, or technical operations.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in Tidal Enterprise Scheduler, batch job scheduling controls, Linux/Unix/Windows server environments, Oracle DB, SQL Server, and technical troubleshooting.
- Shift & Work Model: EMEA Shift (01:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST), 5 days/week on-site in Bengaluru.
