Role Summary
Capgemini is hiring a Playwright Test Automation Engineer for its Quality Engineering & Testing division across Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. In this senior QA engineering role, you will design, architect, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), Core Java, and Selenium WebDriver. You will build reusable automation libraries, execute end-to-end UI and API test cases, and integrate automated test suites into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain enterprise automation frameworks from scratch (Page Object Model, Data-Driven, BDD, Hybrid) using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
- Automated Testing Execution: Create, maintain, and execute automated UI, API, and end-to-end regression test suites for web applications.
- CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Connect test automation suites with continuous integration and deployment pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) for seamless automated execution.
- API Testing & Quality Strategy: Conduct API test automation using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate, participating in test strategy preparation and requirements analysis.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 6+ years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on expertise in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, OOP design concepts, and custom framework architecture.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: API Testing (REST Assured/Postman/Karate), Git version control, TestNG/JUnit/Cucumber, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
