Playwright Automation Engineer

Role Summary

Capgemini is hiring a Playwright Automation Engineer for its Quality Engineering & Testing group across Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad. In this senior automation role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade test automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), Core Java, and Selenium. You will build reusable automation components, execute UI/API/E2E test suites, and integrate automated test execution into continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation solutions from scratch (POM, Data-Driven, BDD, Hybrid) using Playwright, Core Java, and Selenium WebDriver.
• Automation Execution: Create, maintain, and execute automated UI, API, and end-to-end regression test suites across web applications.
• CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Integrate automated test suites with continuous deployment pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) for seamless continuous testing.
• API & Quality Engineering: Conduct API test automation using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate, while establishing quality standards across Agile delivery teams.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 4+ years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 1+ years of hands-on expertise in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, and automation framework design.
• Preferred Technical Exposure: API Testing (REST Assured/Postman/Karate), Git version control, TestNG/JUnit/Cucumber, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
