Role Summary
Capgemini is hiring a Guidewire Developer / Lead for its Software Engineering division across Kolkata, Noida, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar. In this core insurance technology role, you will design, configure, customize, and integrate enterprise solutions across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite ecosystem—including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter. Using Gosu, Java, Guidewire Studio, and REST/SOAP web services, you will engineer scalable systems for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance clients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Guidewire Suite Configuration: Design, configure, and customize Guidewire applications across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter using Gosu, Java, and Guidewire Studio.
- Policy, Claims & Billing Workflows: Build product configurations, underwriting rules, rating algorithms, claims workflows, batch plugins, invoicing, payment allocations, and GL posting rules.
- Integration Framework Development: Construct robust integrations, plugins, event triggers, messaging interfaces, and SOAP/REST web services to connect Guidewire with external portals, payment gateways, and document management platforms.
- Quality & Agile Delivery: Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot complex application defects, support QA/UAT releases, and participate in Agile code reviews and deployment ceremonies.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of software engineering experience with direct, hands-on exposure to Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Guidewire PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter/BillingCenter, Gosu, Java, Guidewire Studio, XML, JSON, SQL, and SOAP/REST Web Services.
- Preferred Technical & Domain Exposure: Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain knowledge, Guidewire Certification, Git, Jenkins, Maven, AWS/Azure, and Guidewire Cloud.
