Role Summary
BuildingBlocks is seeking an experienced Backend Full Stack Developer with deep proficiency in Python and hands-on experience in modern frontend frameworks (Angular or React). In this full-time role, you will architect, build, and optimize scalable backend microservices, robust REST APIs, and responsive web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product and engineering squads across the full software development lifecycle to deliver performant, reliable, and secure customer-facing digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Architecture & API Development: Design, develop, and maintain performant backend services and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
- Frontend Engineering: Build, integrate, and maintain modern, responsive user interfaces and single-page applications using Angular or React.js.
- Database Management & Integration: Model, query, and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and orchestrate integrations with third-party web services and APIs.
- Code Quality & Optimization: Participate in peer code reviews, profiling, debugging, and continuous performance optimization across backend and frontend layers.
- Agile Collaboration: Partner actively with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to iterate and deliver features within an Agile development workflow.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical software engineering experience.
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of proven full-stack development experience with strong backend specialization.
- Core Technical Skills: Python, Django / FastAPI / Flask, Angular or React.js, RESTful APIs, Microservices, and SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Key Methodologies: Agile/Scrum Practices, API Design Standards, Git Version Control, and System Performance Tuning.
- Preferred Capabilities: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automated CI/CD pipelines, and SaaS product engineering.
