Role Summary
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage for its ValueScience® Center (VSC), Client-Focused track in Gurugram. In this role, you will provide hands-on corporate finance and valuation expertise to consulting case teams. You will construct 3-statement financial models from scratch, conduct Total Shareholder Return (TSR) diagnostics, run sensitivity and scenario analyses, leverage Generative AI and agentic tooling (such as Claude Code) to accelerate workflows, and present findings directly to client leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Modelling & Valuation: Build integrated 3-statement financial models from scratch (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and execute valuation methodologies including DCF and trading comparables.
- Scenario & Strategic Analysis: Conduct multi-scenario forecasting, sensitivity modeling, and TSR diagnostics to support corporate strategy and capital allocation decisions.
- GenAI & Agentic Workflows: Build structured prompt workflows and apply agentic tooling (e.g., Claude Code) to automate analysis, financial modeling, and reusable client assets.
- Client Engagement & Thought Partnership: Partner with case teams and client stakeholders directly on-site, walking executives through financial outputs and translating complex metrics into actionable insights.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline with high academic standing.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in financial modeling, valuation, or corporate finance (within consulting firms, Big 4 advisory, corporate development, PE, or VC).
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Mastery of Microsoft Excel, 3-statement model design, DCF valuation, trading comparables, corporate finance principles, and financial statement analysis.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Working knowledge of financial databases (Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and hands-on experience with GenAI/agentic tools (Claude Code); CFA or CAIA certification is a strong plus.
- Core Soft Skills: Executive presence in client presentations, sharp commercial judgment ("so what" mindset), independent prioritization, and clear written communication.
