BCG X Finance Intern

Role Summary

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring a BCG X Finance Intern for its BCG X Delivery Finance team in Gurgaon. In this financial analytics and reporting automation role, you will assist BCG X leadership in building digital reporting suites, automating financial workflows, and managing data pipelines using Power BI, Tableau Prep, and AI tools (such as Claude). You will also support core finance operations, including project code tracking, timesheet corrections, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Reporting & Data Automation: Design and maintain financial reporting templates, self-service dashboards, and data pipelines that consolidate business metrics across global BCG X business units.
• AI & Analytics Tooling: Apply business intelligence and AI tools (Power BI, Tableau Prep, Claude) to streamline data processing, automate reporting workflows, and enhance data accuracy.
• Financial Operations & Planning: Support day-to-day finance operations, including project setup, timesheet adjustments, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue impact analysis.
• Business Performance Tracking: Track key financial indicators such as actuals vs. forecasts, sales pipeline, project backlog, and variance metrics.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed or currently pursuing) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related quantitative fields.
• Experience: 0–1 years of internship or project experience in financial analysis, data visualization, or reporting automation.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Power BI, Tableau Prep, Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas and pivot tables), MS PowerPoint, and financial variance reporting.
• Preferred Technical Exposure: AI tools (Claude/ChatGPT), data pipeline design, SQL, and financial modeling experience.
