BCG X Finance Intern

Role Summary

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring a BCG X Finance Intern for a 1-year internship program in Gurgaon. In this role, you will own real deliverables within the BCG X Finance team—analyzing global revenue and cost performance, supporting week-close and month-close procedures, building interactive financial dashboards, identifying process automation opportunities, and executing a Capstone Project to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Performance Analysis: Track and analyze revenue and cost performance across global BCG X business units.
• Accounting & Month-Close Operations: Support end-to-end week-close and month-close activities while ensuring precise and timely revenue/cost recording across multiple offices.
• Financial Dashboarding: Build clean, decision-ready dashboards using Advanced Excel, Power BI, and AI-powered financial reporting tools.
• Process Optimization & Capstone Project: Identify efficiency gaps in financial workflows and complete a Capstone Project focused on operational improvement or process automation.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Final or penultimate year student pursuing Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics (Tier-1 B.Com graduates, CA, CMA, ACCA, or MBA students preferred).
• Experience: Open to entry-level candidates and interns (0 to 1 year).
• Mandatory Technical Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and strong grounding in core accounting concepts (P&L, balance sheet, journal entries).
• Preferred Tools: Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, or AI-driven financial reporting tools is a strong plus.
• Core Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, sharp attention to detail, and top-notch written and verbal communication.
