Role Summary
BlackRock is hiring an Associate Full Stack Developer for its Digital Platforms & Experiences team within Global Marketing. The role focuses on frontend development, AI-assisted development and testing, web application architecture, and delivering user-focused digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Frontend Development: Architect, develop, and maintain frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- AI-Assisted Development: Use AI tools to support daily development and testing activities.
- Feature Delivery: Contribute to features and products from inception through delivery.
- Software Quality: Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to coding standards, best practices, and unit testing.
- Agile Development: Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, business owners, and analysts throughout the software development lifecycle.
- System Support: Support existing applications and resolve operational issues with global engineering teams.
- Application Architecture: Contribute to web application design and architecture while following relevant security and web standards.
- Process Improvement: Help improve engineering processes and development practices.
Key Qualifications
- Experience supporting Unix/Linux platforms.
- Experience with at least one frontend framework; Angular is preferred, and React is an advantage.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and at least one JavaScript library such as RxJS or NgRx.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and unit testing.
- Knowledge of a distributed version control system, preferably Git.
- Understanding of Agile project management, particularly Scrum.
- Knowledge of application design, architecture, and web security standards is an advantage.
- Exposure to OCI container packaging, containerized microservices, and Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Interest in the financial services industry is an advantage.
