Role Summary
Birlasoft Limited is hiring an Automation Selenium Technical Specialist to join its Testing Services division in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks, executing UI and API test automation, and integrating automated test suites into continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines across automotive and enterprise software projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and utilities using Selenium WebDriver (Java or Python).
- Framework Execution: Configure and manage automated test runs using TestNG, JUnit, or BDD Cucumber frameworks.
- API & Cross-Browser Testing: Perform end-to-end API automation testing, cross-browser compatibility checks, and script debugging.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle.
- Defect Management & Quality: Analyze test execution results, isolate software defects, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
Key Qualifications
- Core Experience: 4 to 6 years of dedicated hands-on experience in software automation testing using Selenium.
- Programming Depth: Strong foundational knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, data structures, and core programming fundamentals in Java or Python.
- QA Methodologies: In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving mindset, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
