Role Summary

Apple’s E-Business Services team is hiring an experienced Integration Software Engineer in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this high-scale backend role, you will design and build Java-based B2B integration frameworks and "infrastructure as code" middleware components capable of processing high-volume transactions with global business partners. You will optimize availability, consistency, and event processing across multi-data-center and cloud platforms using Apache Camel, Spring, and distributed database systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Framework Engineering: Design, develop, and scale middleware platforms using Java and Apache Camel to process complex B2B transactions with Apple's external partners.
  • Distributed System Optimization: Build resilient architectures ensuring high availability and consistency across multi-region data centers and cloud service providers.
  • Persistence & Event Management: Develop robust frameworks managing database persistence (Oracle, MongoDB), transaction correlation, uniqueness validation, and real-time notifications.
  • Performance Tuning & Security: Optimize JVM performance, fine-tune database query executions, and implement core security protocols (SSL/TLS, SSH/SFTP, PKI, PGP, X509 encryption).
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with domain developers, system architects, and operations engineers to drive high-impact B2B platform enhancements.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience building backend applications or middleware platforms.
  • Middleware Stack: 2+ years of experience constructing integration frameworks with Apache Camel and 5+ years of experience with Spring Framework.
  • Data & Architecture: 5+ years of experience with Oracle/relational databases, NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and distributed architecture design.
  • Preferred Technical Exposure: Working knowledge of Shell/Perl scripting, cloud platform integrations, object storage solutions, and basic AI/ML fundamentals.
