Role Summary
Apple’s Operations and Supply Chain division is hiring a customer-facing Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE) – GSSM Solutions in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Positioned at the intersection of Engineering, Data, and Operations, you will work directly with business stakeholders to solve complex supply chain pain points. You will design, build, and deploy AI-powered internal tools, ETL/ELT data pipelines, API integrations, and workflow automations across real-world enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Solutions Engineering & Deployment: Scope, build, and deploy practical AI tools, API-driven system integrations, and automation workflows directly to production.
- Data Engineering & Pipelines: Design and manage ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and validate structured and unstructured datasets across enterprise databases, files, and external APIs.
- Data Quality & Observability: Establish data validation checks, schema change monitoring, and troubleshooting workflows to ensure data integrity for downstream AI and analytical applications.
- Technical Product Leadership: Partner with cross-functional product, engineering, and supply management teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive user adoption.
- Operational Support: Debug production issues in live environments, optimize platform capabilities based on real-world feedback, and guide continuous iteration.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, data engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.
- Core Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, REST APIs, relational databases, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and system integration patterns.
- AI & Automation Capabilities: Familiarity with LLM/Generative AI APIs, agent orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and processing unstructured data sources.
- Nice to Have: Japanese language proficiency (written and spoken for stakeholder engagement), experience in supply chain/sourcing operations, or background in startup/high-growth environments.
