Role Summary
Amazon is hiring a System Development Engineer I for its Finance Technology (FinTech) organization in Hyderabad. In this role, you will build, scale, and maintain high-performance financial systems and infrastructure supporting Amazon's global business operations. You will automate operational workflows to drive human-free operations, manage system deployments and migrations, troubleshoot complex alarms, and build tools to improve overall availability and system scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure & System Automation: Architect and build end-to-end automation, tooling, and infrastructure solutions using Python, Java, or Golang to achieve zero-touch operations.
- Software Deployment & Migrations: Support software releases, cloud migrations, host management, and large-scale system deployments across Linux/AWS datacenter environments.
- Incident Response & System Reliability: Debug, troubleshoot, and evaluate automated system alarms while driving root-cause resolution for critical financial services.
- Operational Engineering: Participate in system design, data structure optimization, capacity planning, and operational performance tuning in an Agile development lifecycle.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in systems/software engineering, infrastructure development, and cloud scalability.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, Golang, or Ruby, deep Linux/Unix operating system fundamentals, cloud environments (AWS), data structures, and system troubleshooting.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Hands-on experience with CI/CD build pipelines, enterprise system design patterns, network administration, and storage architecture.
- Core Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, handling ambiguous requirements, and clear technical communication.
