Role Summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Software Dev Engineer-II (Infra Supply Chain Automation) for its Amazon Development Centre India (ADCI) team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this greenfield engineering role, you will join a newly formed organization building large-scale, resilient distributed applications from scratch. You will architect greenfield systems leveraging reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores to automate and orchestrate AWS's global data center supply chain and infrastructure capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Greenfield Development: Solve complex architectural and supply chain problems to design, build, and deploy scalable greenfield distributed systems from the ground up.
- High-Quality Code & Engineering Standards: Write clean, modular, highly testable, and robust code while upholding operational excellence and comprehensive SDLC practices.
- Distributed Technologies: Implement reactive microservice architectures, serverless computing models, and distributed NoSQL database solutions for high-concurrency systems.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Formally mentor junior software engineers on object-oriented design patterns, coding standards, debugging, and system scalability.
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate effectively across cross-functional global engineering, hardware, network, and supply chain teams to maintain AWS's high bar for system reliability.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Software Engineering Experience: 3+ years of full software development life cycle (SDLC) experience, including coding, design patterns, code reviews, unit testing, and production operations.
- System Design & Architecture: 2+ years of non-internship experience in system design and architecture, emphasizing high availability, fault tolerance, and reliability.
- Programming Mastery: Strong hands-on coding proficiency in at least one major object-oriented language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, or Go).
- Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with serverless frameworks, NoSQL databases (DynamoDB), cloud infrastructure, or supply chain automation systems.
