Role Summary
Alter Domus is hiring an experienced Senior API Engineer to join our global technology organization in Hyderabad in a hybrid setup. In this role, you will architect, build, and deploy high-performance internal and customer-facing RESTful APIs and microservices using C# and modern .NET Core. You will oversee relational database design and optimization across SQL Server and PostgreSQL, manage containerization and deployment pipelines onto Kubernetes/AWS EKS clusters, and partner with international stakeholders to deliver scalable financial technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- API Architecture & Engineering: Architect, implement, and maintain secure, high-throughput RESTful APIs and backend microservices using C# and .NET Core.
- Database Design & Optimization: Develop and tune complex database models, stored procedures, functions, and queries across Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Containerization & Cloud Orchestration: Package services using Docker and manage deployment pipelines onto Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS) using Azure DevOps.
- Code Quality & Design Standards: Champion clean architecture, enforce SOLID principles and design patterns, lead structured code reviews, and maintain comprehensive test coverage.
- Cross-Functional Stakeholder Delivery: Collaborate with technical leads, product managers, and business analysts to translate financial operations workflows into resilient software systems.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of solid software development experience focused on C#, .NET backend services, and distributed API architecture.
- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core, RESTful API design, relational databases (MS SQL Server / PostgreSQL), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Nice to Have: Direct experience deploying to AWS EKS, automated pipelines in Azure DevOps, and prior domain knowledge in Alternative Investments or Financial Services.
- Professional Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, disciplined approach to delivery in Agile environments, and excellent communication skills.
