Role Summary
Airbus is hiring an SAP L3 Expert Developer (Lead Technology Analyst - Operations Specialist) for its Information Management (IM) Function in Bengaluru. In this role, you will bridge complex quality business processes with high-performance technical architecture across Airbus's SAP landscape. You will act as the ultimate L3 technical escalation point for critical production support, perform root cause analysis (RCA), execute performance tuning, conduct source code audits, and actively participate in high-value development pipelines within an Agile Scrum/DevOps framework.
Key Responsibilities
- L3 Production Operations & Troubleshooting: Resolve complex, escalated L3 production incidents, perform deep runtime diagnostic analysis (ST05, SAT, ST22), and execute rapid "first-time-right" hotfix deliveries.
- S/4HANA & UI5 Development: Design, build, and optimize custom S/4HANA ABAP solutions using CDS views, RAP models, OData services, and responsive SAPUI5/Fiori architectures.
- Code Auditing & Performance Tuning: Establish SAP best practices, conduct source code reviews, optimize long-running requests, and audit custom developments.
- Business Stakeholder Engagement: Direct business interactions with European teams and cross-functional Airbus product lines (Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Services) to translate operational needs into technical enhancements.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 4 to 6+ years of hands-on professional SAP development experience with heavy emphasis on S/4HANA ABAP and SAPUI5/Fiori architectures.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Mastery in ABAP 7.5+ syntax, S/4HANA CDS Views, RAP Model, SAPUI5/Fiori, OData services, diagnostic tools (ST05/SAT/ST22), performance tuning, and source code auditing.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Working knowledge of the Quality Management (QM) SAP module in an industrial environment, interfaces (ALE/IDOC, RFC, Proxies, Web Services), In-App extensibility, JavaScript, JSON, and XML.
- Core Soft Skills: Customer-facing communication with European business units, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional Agile collaboration.
