Role Summary
Airbus is hiring a Business Finance & Capex Controller for its finance team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will act as a strategic interface between the corporate finance function, regional business verticals, and cross-functional teams to drive capital expenditure (Capex) planning, track Plan vs. Actual performance, and optimize Capex and Opex costs. You will build financial models, perform data-driven trend analysis to improve P&L performance, establish governance processes to prevent cost leakages, and publish business dashboards for executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Capex & Opex Planning: Lead organizational Capex budgeting, perform Plan vs. Actual variance analysis, and identify cost optimization opportunities across operational verticals.
- P&L & Trend Analysis: Conduct deep-dive rate trend analyses and operational data evaluations to improve overall P&L performance and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Governance & Process Control: Develop new processes for emerging business initiatives, audit financial workflows to mitigate cost leakages, and enforce compliance guidelines.
- Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Build, manage, and publish regular business dashboards, conducting weekly financial review sessions with regional business leaders.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
- Experience: 6 to 8 years of professional experience in Business Finance, FP&A, or Capex Control roles.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Advanced Microsoft Excel, complex financial modeling, PowerPoint presentations, and financial analysis frameworks.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Working knowledge of SAP ERP systems and enterprise cost accounting tools.
- Core Soft Skills: Strong business acumen, cross-functional influencing skills, self-starter mentality, and excellent verbal and written communication.
