Role Summary
Adobe is hiring a Computer Scientist for its Digital Video Audio (DVA) group within the Creative Cloud business unit, located in Noida and Bengaluru. In this individual contributor role, you will design, build, and optimize core software features and computational algorithms powering flagship video applications like Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Premiere Rush. You will solve complex computational problems across imaging, video processing, and color science, optimizing multi-threaded architectures for high performance and low latency.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature & Engine Development: Own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle—from technical specifications and prototyping to release—for core Premiere Pro features and shared video/audio frameworks.
- Algorithm Engineering & Optimization: Design, develop, and tune imaging, core color, and video processing algorithms, focusing heavily on space-time efficiency and system stability.
- Concurrency & Systems Profiling: Debug, profile, and optimize complex multi-threaded C++ applications to maximize desktop and mobile platform hardware capabilities.
- Modern Tooling & Collaboration: Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding and testing while collaborating with a distributed engineering team.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Experience: 4 to 6 years of hands-on software development experience building performant, production-grade applications.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in C++, data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded application development, code profiling, memory management, and software design patterns.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Domain experience in video processing, color science, multimedia frameworks, or high-availability distributed systems.
- Core Soft Skills: Strong technical articulation, proactive and independent task execution, analytical problem solving, and collaborative engineering teamwork.
