Role Summary
Accenture is hiring a Technology Support Engineer (Infra Managed Service Senior Analyst) for its infrastructure services team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this infrastructure management role, you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering VMware virtualized environments. You will resolve technical incidents, manage change requests (RFCs), optimize system performance, integrate virtual storage and networking, and partner with vendor support teams to maintain operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
- VMware Infrastructure Administration: Manage virtual machine lifecycles, host resource allocations, storage datastores, and virtual network configurations across enterprise VMware environments.
- Incident & Problem Management: Resolve complex operational incidents, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA), and implement Requests for Change (RFC) adhering to service delivery SLAs.
- Performance & Availability Monitoring: Proactively track virtualization infrastructure health to prevent system downtime and support backup/disaster recovery strategies.
- Operational Excellence & Automation: Automate routine infrastructure tasks using scripting tools, author technical knowledge base articles, and mentor junior technical support team members.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Minimum 15 years of full-time education (Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated hands-on experience in VMware Virtualization Administration.
- Mandatory Technical Skills: Deep proficiency in VMware vSphere/ESXi, virtual machine management, virtual storage/network integration, incident management, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Preferred Capabilities: VMware VCP certification, scripting with PowerCLI/Bash/Python, and familiarity with ITIL change management processes.
