Accenture features an opening for a Custom Software Engineer (Packaged Application Development Senior Analyst) based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. In this technical development role, you will design, code, test, and enhance custom software components and enterprise applications. Leveraging hands-on proficiency in Spring Boot, core Java, and RESTful API architecture, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile delivery framework to deliver modular, scalable, and high-performing software systems that meet defined business specifications.
Core Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, write, and deploy clean, maintainable backend code using Spring Boot and Java to create tailored software solutions.
- API Design & Integration: Build, configure, and maintain secure RESTful web services and application programming interfaces (APIs) for system interoperability.
- Data Layer Integration: Connect backend services with database management systems, ensuring efficient query handling, data persistence, and integrity.
- Code Maintenance & Enhancement: Analyze existing codebases, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement structural enhancements and bug fixes.
- Technical Governance & Versioning: Manage source code using distributed version control systems (Git) and maintain structured technical documentation covering architecture and configurations.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as an autonomous technical contributor, providing engineering guidance and peer support to junior team members during sprint cycles.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: 15 years of full-time education (Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field).
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years (up to 5 years) of dedicated hands-on software development experience.
- Core Framework Proficiency: Proven hands-on development expertise with Spring Boot for enterprise-level applications.
- Language & Architecture: Strong programming command of Java, solid grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles, and distributed design patterns.
- API & Data Persistence: Practical experience developing RESTful web services and integrating relational or non-relational database layers.
- Development Tooling: Familiarity with Git version control workflows and Agile development toolsets.
