Role Summary
Accenture is seeking a talented Custom Software Engineer (Packaged Application Development Senior Analyst) to join our Advanced Technology Centers in India (ATCI) based out of Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize tailored software components and enterprise applications utilizing Python. You will apply modern software engineering practices, contribute to evolving AI-driven applications—including Generative AI, autonomous agents, and workflow integrations—and collaborate within agile teams to deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Design, write, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and clean software modules and backend services utilizing Python.
- AI & Automation Integration: Assist in integrating Generative AI capabilities, AI agents, and automated workflow orchestrations into bespoke enterprise platforms.
- System Maintenance & Optimization: Refactor legacy codebases, perform root cause analysis on application defects, and execute performance optimization to improve system reliability.
- Agile Collaboration & Subject Matter Expertise: Participate actively in sprint ceremonies, architectural discussions, and requirement discovery to translate business goals into technical specifications.
- Technical Governance & Mentorship: Maintain standard technical documentation, code change logs, and configuration guides while providing technical mentorship to associate software engineers.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Minimum 15 years of full-time education (Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid hands-on experience in custom software engineering and enterprise application development using Python.
- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming principles, debugging tools, software testing frameworks, and version control (Git).
- Nice to Have: Hands-on exposure to Generative AI frameworks, AI Agent development, API design, and workflow automation tools.
- Professional Competencies: Strong analytical problem-solving capability, independent ownership mindset, and excellent verbal and written collaboration skills.
