Description:

PhonePe is India’s leading digital payments platform with a massive user base and a mission to empower every Indian's financial journey. The Business Analyst role is integral to PhonePe’s pod strategy, responsible for defining key metrics, monitoring performance trends, and influencing interventions to improve business outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with business and product teams to translate challenges into analytics questions and provide unbiased, data-driven insights. Beyond traditional data analysis, you are expected to think as a business owner and use data to prove or disprove hypotheses. The role involves mentoring junior analysts, contributing to hiring and onboarding, and serving as the analytics and visualization expert for the pod.

Requirements:

• 3 to 6 years of relevant analytics experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and manage large datasets
• Experience with visualization tools and scripting languages (Python/R)
• Familiarity with machine learning models is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to mentor and lead teams
• Business curiosity and passion for data-driven decision-making
